IFRPD and Clextral Host "Advanced Snack Extrusion Short Course" to Empower Food Innovation

The Institute of Food Research and Product Development (IFRPD), in collaboration with Clextral Pacific Pty Ltd, organized the international training program "Advanced Snack Extrusion Short Course" from May 6–7, 2026. The event was held at the Training Room 211, Amorn Bhumiratana Building, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen.

This intensive training provided participants with comprehensive knowledge of snack production using advanced extrusion technology. The curriculum covered the entire value chain, including:

  • Market Analysis: Identifying current consumer trends and raw material processing.
  • Technical Deep Dive: Understanding the influence of processing parameters on product texture and density.
  • Formulation & Flavoring: Exploring modern ingredients and seasoning techniques to enhance product aesthetics, color, and taste.

The program's highlight was a Live Demonstration on Clextral's EV25 Twin Screw Extruder. This practical session allowed participants to observe a world-class production line in action—covering extrusion, drying, and flavoring—equipping them with the professional skills needed to develop innovative snack products for today’s market
